About us
We are Nela and Daniel Surňák from Havířov, the founders of the Sharqiya Sand kennel, focused on the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever (Toller). Our journey to this breed developed naturally, and over time it has become not only our passion but also an integral part of our everyday life.

The idea of getting a dog came quite naturally – Daniel preferred a smaller breed, while I grew up surrounded by large dogs. We were therefore looking for a medium-sized dog with hunting potential, a love for water, and a distinctive appearance. When we entered these criteria into our search, we discovered the Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever – and the decision was made. We were immediately captivated not only by its appearance, but also by its temperament and working drive.

Our vision
Our goal is to breed healthy, well-balanced, and enthusiastic working Tollers who are not only capable hunting dogs, but above all beloved members of the family.

We believe that a dog should be a full-fledged part of its owner's life – a companion, partner, and friend who shares everyday moments, the joy of work, and time for rest.

Our everyday life
Our dogs are part of our daily lives. They share our home environment, our routines, and our time outdoors.

They grow up in close contact with our family, including a small child, which naturally helps them develop a balanced temperament, adaptability, and the ability to function well in a typical family setting.

Our beginnings with Omany
The foundation of our kennel is our female, Omany Targaryen Fire, who joined us in 2024.

Omany is a gentle, sensitive, and perceptive female with an excellent nose, a strong willingness to work, and a natural love for water. She has successfully passed the OVVR hunting aptitude test, and we continue to develop her skills through further training.

From a health perspective, she has excellent results – both hip and elbow joints evaluated with top scores, and all genetic tests clear.

Breeding and raising puppies
The Sharqiya Sand kennel was established in 2025, and our first litter is planned for 2026.

Our dogs are raised in close contact with our family and everyday home environment. Future puppies will therefore be accustomed from their very first days to daily life, human interaction, and a variety of stimuli.

We place strong emphasis on health, balanced temperament, natural working abilities, and high-quality socialization.

For whom are our puppies suitable
Our puppies will be best suited for active owners who wish to share their lives with a dog and are interested in training, sports, or working activities.

We are looking for homes where the dog will be a true member of the family – a partner in everyday life, not just a "dog in the garden."
